260 MW COGENERATION FACILITY — PLANT MANAGEMENT
Full P&L responsibility for a 260 MW combined-cycle/cogeneration facility. Managed staff across operations, maintenance, engineering, and administration. Maintained zero lost-time injuries and 99.6% steam availability to an adjacent potash mine. Administered PPA, ESA, LTSA, and site lease contracts.
Electrical · Generator Rewinds · controls
turbine controls /generator rewinds
Site leadership through rewind of three main electrical generators, and migration from Mark V to Mark VIe controls systems. Managed contracting, overall scheduling coordination and technical reviews and oversight.
Electrical · Excitation Systems · Hydro
EXCITER REPLACEMENT PROGRAM — 288 MW HYDROELECTRIC STATION
Site manager and commissioning lead for replacement of rotating exciters to static excitation systems on Units 1 through 6 at a 288 MW hydroelectric station.
Electrical · Transformer · Capital Project
360 MVA GSU TRANSFORMER REPLACEMENT
Project management and technical lead for the replacement of a 360 MVA generator step-up transformer at a coal-fired generating station. Managed procurement, transportation logistics, installation coordination, and commissioning.
Maintenance · Gas Turbines · Overhauls
NATURAL GAS POWER STATION — MAJOR EQUIPMENT PROGRAM
Production Support Manager overseeing major equipment replacements including generators, rotors, and overhaul maintenance. Negotiated long-term service contracts and directed preventive/corrective maintenance programs.
Electrical · Protection · Coal
CLEAN COAL front end ELECTRICAL design
Electrical engineering lead for front end design of protection systems, transformers, and switchgear upgrades as part of a clean coal initiative at a coal-fired generating station. Coordinated with multidisciplinary project teams and managed contractor deliverables.
Process · Engineering Management · Cogeneration
ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT OF CHANGE — COGENERATION FACILITY
Developed and implemented a formal engineering management of change (MOC) process for a 260 MW cogeneration facility. Established procedures for documenting, reviewing, and approving technical changes to plant systems and equipment.
Emergency · Troubleshooting · Thermal
EMERGENCY RESPONSE — GENERATOR BUS DUCT OVERHEATING
Rapid emergency response to a generator bus duct overheating event at a thermal generating station where temperatures exceeded 550°C. Provided on-site technical assessment, coordinated emergency repairs, and developed return-to-service procedures.
