ENGINEERING CONSULTING
Electrical power systems, control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA), protection relays, switchgear, transformers, excitation systems, and instrumentation. From design through commissioning.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Capital projects, overhauls, turnarounds, procurement, and contract management. Scope, schedule, and budget control with full lifecycle accountability.
TROUBLESHOOTING & EMERGENCY SUPPORT
Rapid response, root cause analysis, generator and exciter troubleshooting, control system diagnostics, protection testing, and emergency repair coordination.

Independent technical oversight for capital projects — specification development, bid evaluation, factory acceptance testing, QA/inspection, and commissioning verification.

On-site construction management and multi-contractor coordination within operating plants — safety oversight, scheduling, progress reporting, and commissioning coordination.
FORENSIC INVESTIGATION & RCA
Equipment failure investigation, root cause analysis, and expert reporting for insurance claims, warranty disputes, and litigation support.
OVERHAUL SUPPORT & PLANNING
Major outage planning, scope development, work package creation, OEM coordination, on-site execution oversight, and return-to-service testing.

APEGS Permission to Consult
First-Out Technical has been granted Permission to Consult by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). Kyle Marinier, P.Eng. is authorized to provide consulting engineering services in Electrical Engineering — including control systems, instrumentation, protection, and low/medium/high voltage applications for power generation, mining, and industrial facilities.

Kyle Marinier, P.Eng. is now approved with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) through inter-provincial mobility. This approval enables First-Out Technical to provide professional engineering services to clients in Alberta, expanding our reach across Western Canada.
